Welcome to Arctic Adventure Land

At least that's what it felt like this morning. Thick, fat flakes of snow falling in random swirls, streets empty of cars and people, the school yard empty and quiet. A chance to make new tracks in fresh snow most of the way to work. Wind in your face, stinging snow when the wind shifted and cars going at reasonable speeds for a change!

Quite a wonderful way to start the day.

Ode to the Hetro

Ah Valentines day, yet another celebration aimed at generating sale of cards, flowers, and candies. Another ode to the predominantly hetro populace. I'm not sure how to feel about all this, other than a bit burned out on all the holidays designed to free me of my cash.

For those that appreciate this day and have someone special in their lives, congratulations. To those that have someone special in their lives but are burned out on this kind of wallet-ectomy style of celebration, give your lover a hug and wish them well. I know I plan to.

Ramblings: The First

So, several someones suggested I start one of these. To them go the kudos and the blame.
